Food is always fresh and plentiful, priced for success, large menu, no complaints yet in last 15 years we have been going

A lovely diner experience with a full menu. We tried the 1B breakfast with bacon and a biscuit and gravy and a strawberry waffle. Both were delicious. The whipped cream tasted freshly made and the biscuit was fluffy. The gravy was just right. I’d come back to try some lunch.

I have frequently visited this establishment since I was a teenager still in high school because it was good affordable food, but today I wanted to make sure I shared how wonderful the experience was. I brought my two toddlers in for breakfast and they are a pretty rowdy pair most of the time. Harlan’s is one of the few places that never makes me feel out of place bringing them along they provide adorable little coloring sheets with crayons and have a very affordable kids menu. This morning my fiancé is out of town and I am missing him hard, wishing he was with us for breakfast and they have been so extremely hospitable to me the food was absolutely on point as always. My steak was prepared perfectly—so tender and tasty! Michelle was so sweet to me and my children this morning, I will truly never forget the kindness and prompt service she provided us this morning. Harlan’s is a QC staple and I have no doubt that the community will help ensure it stays that way!

I’ve been going past Harlan’s my entire life and had never stopped in until last night. Dang have I been missing out. Right when we entered we were greeted in a very friendly manner, seated right away, and had our drink order taken promptly. All of the staff we interacted with were incredibly personable and friendly. Special shoutout to our waitress, Ashton. She did exceptional at her job and both my wife and I enjoyed visiting with her! The food was delicious! We had the Appetizer Heaven to get a wide selection, and each part was as good as the last. I ordered the ribs and really enjoyed them. They were tender, meaty, and had great flavor. My wife had the honey chicken breast and thought it was amazing. Very moist chicken and a great honey mustard sauce that wasn’t overpowering. We also had to try their famous chicken, and it too was fantastic! Despite being quite full, we saved a little room for desert, ordering the lemon meringue and Boston cream pie. Yum! We will definitely be returning soon!

Lori had a BLT; she said it was good. I had the walleye (fish). It was great! I'll be back every other Friday for AYCE walleye. Why every other you ask? We have game night, and pot luck, at our church, New Hope in Coal Valley, every other Friday!

If you live in the Quad-Cities, then you already know, Harlan's is a QC institution. They serve breakfast anytime and have some of the best meals around. Chili every day, the best hash browns that I have ever had and the PEOPLE is what really makes this place ideal. It is what I consider low-cost and great food. If you go for the Chicken or the Biscuits and Gravy as part of the #1B you will not be disappointed. It is simply a great place to eat,

First time eating here. Our service was very prompt and we even had someone being trained. She was very pleasant and kept a watch on us for anything we needed. I had their mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy. It was delicious and very filling. My friend had the special for the day which was a hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes in the center and covered in your choice of brown or chicken gravy. Very good food, nice portions, great waitstaff, food cooked to perfection and prices fairly reasonable. I'd eat there again and highly recommend.

It was good. Our waitress really didn't come back & check up on us. Refill were not offered. Over all I will be back.
